Background

Albion Design has been in business since 1980, when owner Maggie LaNoue created her first greeting card depicting downtown Albion Michigan, (at right.) Maggie continues to promote Albion, and the mid-Michigan region by using the new medium of the Internet. She created the Albion Home Page, albionmich.com in 1995, the first Albion web site.

Maggie promotes mid Michigan through her mid-Michigan home pages. Her goal is to feature this region's arts, history, and non profit groups by showcasing them in the following city home pages, owned and maintained by Albion Design. battlecreekmich.com, jacksonmich.com, marshallmich.com and homermich.com. With the addition of www.springfieldmich.com, a city owned page maintained by Albion Design, there is an interconnected network of web sites that covers all of the cities in Calhoun County. Traffic to these sites has exceeded all expectations. We seek to increase cooperation between communities in this region, to join the strengths of each community in an effort to promote this region.

Trained in the traditional school of pen and ink, Maggie's current art retains the old world feel but uses modern technology.
