| Michigan artist Maggie LaNoue has been portraying
corporate and rural America for over 18 years. Maggie was born
in Washington, D.C. but now resides in Albion, Michigan. Maggie is a third
generation Albion College graduate.
Her detailed pen and ink drawings reproduce extremely
well in a variety of formats and sizes.
She showcases her art by producing custom cards for businesses
for their use as holiday greetings, employee birthdays, customer thank-you
cards, and much more.
Her new style of art features full color, while
maintaining the crisp detail or her original pen and ink work.
A business portrait by Maggie LaNoue begins with a series
of photos of the business. Historic photos may be combined with current
views for a montage effect.
A rough sketch is created for the client's approval and
changes.
After the rough sketch is approved, the work is totally
redrawn in india ink. By using a range of line weights, an original
is created that will reproduce well from matchbook size to billboard size.
The work is then tinted for an English watercolor effect.
Reproduction rights are reserved for cards, prints and items for resale
which are to be purchased from Albion Design.
